My first video interview for All Stirred Up! Part of the piece (see below) for USA Today
Washington Post Food Section – I wrote a front-page story for the Food Section on Vaccaro’s Desserts, a family business that has been making cannoli for 100+ years. After spending days shadowing owner Nick Vaccaro, I detailed the incredible process he uses to produce over 5 million cannoli a year.
Washington Post Livechat & Follow-up – I answered questions, gave advice and schmoozed with folks who tuned into the Post’s Intern City livechat with Post reporter Jenna Johnson. Jenna’s follow-up article, Cheap, easy dinner ideas for group house dinners, features my tips and suggestions.
I’ve written two pieces for USAToday. The most recent is about what the pandemic moms have in common with their votes-for-women suffrage foremothers. My previous opinion piece, written at Thanksgiving, explains how Alexander Hamilton might have observed this quintessentially American holiday.
As a contributor to the Jewish Food Experience, I’ve written about all sorts of Jewish food topics from a Battle of the Blintzes to a Jewish organization in California that gives individuals with special needs and diverse abilities the chance to work on a farm making kosher spices and herbs.
Noted YA author Deborah Kalb interviewed me as part of her Book Q&A series.
I talked about Hamilton and my thoughts on food with Melissa Joy Dobbins, the Guilt-Free RD (registered dietician) on her Soundbites podcast and with Charlene Giannetti in the Woman About Town series.
